รายละเอียด : Focal mechanisms of Mw 6.3 aftershocks in Chiang Rai, Northern Thailand, were ascertained via multistation waveform inversion. Three key aftershocks were analyzed using data from three broadband stations within a 250 km radius. Deviatoric moment tensor inversion and band-pass filtering (0.03–0.15 Hz) were employed. Source positions were determined through single-source inversion and grid-search methods. Results yielded stable moment tensors and fault geometries in the northern Payao Fault Zone (PFZ) at depths below 10 km, featuring left-lateral strike-slip with a reverse component. The tectonics of the PFZ are thereby constrained.
